Research Interests are the study of the role of intestinal hormone, glucagon-like peptide-1, in the regulation of water-salt balance in mammals and humans, its interaction with vasopressin in the implementation of a cascade mechanism for the restoration of osmotic homeostasis during hyperhydration. For the first time, a new component in the regulation system of osmotic homeostasis was revealed – the secretion of glucagon-like peptide-1 into the blood during hyperhydration, which prevents a sharp shift in the blood osmolality and enhances the excretion of solute-free water by the kidney. Research skills – chronic and acute animal experiments, examination of patients, analysis of data from case histories; flame photometry, atomic absorption spectrophotometry, measurements using a biochemical analyzer; calculation of parameters of kidney functions, statistical and graphical analysis of experimental data.
