The main areas of research during recent years:
– examining of cerebral mechanisms ontogenetic features of recognizing the speech signals’ emotional intonation in the process of human adjustment to changes in the acoustic environment;
– revealing the connection of the characteristics of emotional information perception with the most significant acoustic parameters of these signals;
– study of the influence of emotional intelligence psychophysiological components on adjustment to changing conditions of the educational environment (as a development of the above mentioned topics).
The age-related features of the cerebral asymmetry characteristics were discovered when students recognized the emotional intonation of a speech signal in the process of adjusting to a change in the acoustic environment. The age interval where a more significant relationship between the lateralization of emotional intonation perception at the noise background and the acoustic parameters of the speech stimulus takes place was determined.
It has been experimentally shown that adaptive changes of perception characteristics influence the success of children’s school progress, especially at the age of 7-13 years (which, apparently, should be taken into account in the educational process in primary and secondary schools).
