Rozhkov V.P. graduated from Leningrad State University with a degree in biology in 1977. In 1983 he defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of biological sciences, specialty 03.00.13.- physiology of humans and animals. Constantly working at the institute with a degree in physiology since 1982, in the position of senior researcher – since 1997, leading researcher – since 2018. Has been working in the Laboratory for Comparative Ecological and Physiological Research since 2006. The area of scientific interests of V.P. Rozhkov is the study of the age-related development of the central nervous system and the formation of integrative and cognitive brain activity in children, the study of the mechanisms of central regulation of intersystem functional interactions under adaptation to extreme environmental conditions. He is fluent in modern methods of instrumental research conducted on humans – computer electroencephalography, methods of brainstem, long-latency and cognitive evoked potentials, transcranial dopplerography of cerebral vessels. V.P. Rozhkov develops algorithms and creates computer data analysis programs. He is author of 1 monograph and more than 60 articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
