My current research interest is the study of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis and its functioning in normal conditions and in the course of metabolic dysfunctions using the Wistar rat model. The main goal is to study the mechanisms of action of the diabetes mellitus on steroidogenesis in the rat testes and study the approaches for its correcting. Among the approaches are investigating of well-known antidiabetic drugs, as well as new allosteric regulators of G-protein-coupled receptors. The most efforts are focused on the study of allosteric regulators of luteinizing and thyroid stimulating hormone receptors. At the work is used such biochemical methods such as ELISA and real-time PCR to study the biological activity of drugs and intracellular signaling pathways.
